Sun and Age Spot Removal | Melasma of the face | Sun Damage

Brown spots or Melasma of the face can be embarrassing and difficult to cover with makeup. These can also be present on the neck, chest, arms, and hands, and are sometimes referred to as "age spots" or "liver spots". Sun damage leaves behind these lesions, called Solar Lentigos and Actinic Bronzing.

 Through delivery of IPL, the brown spots consolidate (shrink) and temporarily darken prior to subtly flaking off. There is usually a 5-7 day darkening of the area sp you would want to schedule around this.

Usually 2-3 sessions, 3-4 weeks apart are necessary to remove the spots. Occasionally, Microdermabrasion may be suggested, in addition to this procedure.
